Celebrate “Farmhouse Breakfast Week” with Arrow Farm Shop and Cafe-Diner!
“Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper”
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and never more so than in the cold, winter months. It has been proven that starting your day with a breakfast has numerous benefits, from helping to reduce obesity and increasing energy levels, to improving your concentration and mood.
To help promote this most majestic of mealtimes, the HGCA, the cereals and oilseeds division of the Agricultural and Horticultural Development Board, is organising its 13th annual “Farmhouse Breakfast Week”. The “Farmhouse Breakfast Week” runs from the 22nd to the 28th January 2012 with the aim of promoting this sometimes forgotten meal! The theme for this year’s event is “Shake up your wake up”, to show that breakfast can be exciting and there is more choice out there than simply a slice of toast or bowl of cereal. And there is nowhere else with more choice at breakfast time than Arrow Farm Shop and Café-Diner!
Our breakfast table features an array of treats such as locally sourced free range eggs, speciality marmalades, jams and preserves, as well as freshly baked pastries for those who prefer a continental breakfast!
