Our Butchery


Beef: All of our Beef is reared on our own farms, or local neighbouring farms. Our suckler breeding herd consists mainly of Limousins, Belgian Blues and Simmentals. The cattle are fed on a natural home grown diet consisting of haylage, straw, barley, oats and wheat. We pride ourselves on producing top quality meat to a high animal welfare standard with consideration for the environment.

The beef is hung for a minimum of fourteen days to mature properly ensuring that the meat, when cooked is tender, full of flavour and taste.

Lamb: Our main suppliers of lamb are within a five mile radius of Arrow Farm. The local farmers produce lamb of the highest standard and quality which again ensures taste and flavour. The main breed are Texel cross, and are all born, reared and finished on these neighbouring farms.

Pork: Our pork comes from a renown local pig farmer in Wellow, Notttinghamshire. The pigs are born and reared on an outside unit. The breeding stock are mainly Large White x Landrace/Duroc and are all Farm Assured with full traceability.

All livestock is taken to a local abattoir for processing, reducing the distance travelled causing less stress to the animal ensuring tenderisation of the meat. Our butchery counter is known for our friendly personal service with master butchers on hand to offer help and advice in your choice of cuts of meat.
